It is always a pleasure to hear from customers, however, to save you an unnecessary call or e-mail we have listed below some some frequently asked questions and the answers:

How much does a kitchen cost?
For a complete kitchen; including installation, appliances, and worksurfaces, clients should budget to spend somewhere in the region of £20,000. Our most modest kitchen contract in recent years amounted to £7,500. One of the more expensive was £35,000.

Which areas do we cover?
We usually limit installations to addresses within 100 mile of our base in Greenwich, South London. As a client of Greenwich Wood Works, this means that you can be assured of our commitment to customer care and attention throughout the design, construction, and installation process.

How long does it take to build the furniture?
Production time varies from a few weeks to two months according to size and complexity.

How long does it take to install the furniture?
Installation is carried out by our own team and takes on average 5-10 days. For kitchens, Granite and Corian worktops are then templated and installed about three weeks later.

Can I reuse or supply my own appliances?
Yes. Our furniture can be designed to accommodate new or existing appliances.

Do we use MDF, Chipboard, or Melamine?
We do not use Chipboard or Melamine. We often use MDF; mostly for internal surfaces and especially for the superior finish on painted furniture. We are happy to accommodate clients’ wishes and can quote for ply, blockboard or solid wood as substitution materials.

Do we have a brochure?
Not at present. Our web site contains more images and detailed information than we could contain in a brochure, and is updated on a regular basis.

Do we have a showroom?
Yes. Please visit our Contact Us page for more information.

Do we handle all the plumbing, tiling, etc?
Some customers want to us to arrange subcontractors to handle plumbing, wiring, tiling, etc, whereas others prefer to employ their own. We are happy with either arrangement.

Do we provide a free design service?
Speculative consultation and drawings are subject to a nominal fee, refunded against your order for the furniture.
